Always start your production code by using the Office/SharePoint development workload in Visual Studio, or the Yeoman generator for Office Add-ins, and follow security best practices as you develop the add-in. A prompt will appear saying that all the items from the list will be removed. To clear all the entries from this list, right-click on any one of the documents in the list and select Clear unpinned items. Your recent files list will appear on the right-hand side pane.
